The MoistureSorb® Reusable Moisture & Odor Absorbent Pouch was specially developed to protect any product by adsorbing moisture at all times. MoistureSorb® is particularly effective in controlling moisture levels in low humidity ranges where other desiccants such as silica and alumina gels are less effective. This product will eliminate moisture and odors while preventing condensation, corrosion, mold and mildew.

How MoistureSorb® Works

MoistureSorb® is very effective and efficient at adsorbing moisture and odors. MoistureSorb® is negatively charged whereas moisture and odoriferous gases ride on positively charged particles. As a result, MoistureSorb® draws in moisture like a strong magnet and traps it. The molecular structure of MoistureSorb® is made up of a lattice structure arranged to form a honeycomb framework of billions of interconnecting channels. This gives MoistureSorb® an enormous surface area that is larger than several football fields. The latter enables MoistureSorb® to adsorb phenomenal amounts of moisture and odors and work for months.

Directions

To use, simply remove the plastic cover, place MoistureSorb® pouches in the area to be treated, and notice the difference. Use one or more recommended size pouches per area treated. This product will function most efficiently in an enclosed area with good air circulation. To obtain the best results, remove the moisture sources (e.g. spills and open containers) and clean the affected area prior to treating with MoistureSorb®. For extra effectiveness, use this product in conjunction with Smelleze™ General Purpose Deodorizer Granules.

Rejuvenating, Reusing & Recycling

The MoistureSorb® Moisture & Odor Absorbent Pouches may be reused repeatedly after periodically rejuvenating them. Rejuvenate the pouches weekly until a noticeable decrease in moisture and odor is detected. Thereafter, rejuvenate them every 3-4 months or when moisture and odor levels increase. To rejuvenate, simply heat the pouches in a microwave 2-4 minutes or place in direct sunlight for a day and reuse.

The number of times MoistureSorb® can be rejuvenated and its actual life span will depend on the moisture and odor concentrations, temperature, humidity and velocity of air flow it is exposed to. Replace the pouches every 3-4 months or when rejuvenation eventually fails to work.

As a precaution, do not rejuvenate the MoistureSorb® pouches in a microwave if they have been exposed to a hazardous or toxic substance. It is better to be safe and to rejuvenate the pouch outdoors in direct sunlight where is plenty of ventilation.

Unused MoistureSorb® moisture and odor control media or used media that has not been exposed to hazardous substances can be recycled by removing this material from the pouch and applying to gardens, flower beds, yards, fields, potting soil and plant beds with thorough watering. It will act as a slow release fertilizer and help retain soil moisture.

Disposal

The unused MoistureSorb® Reusable Moisture & Odor Absorbent Pouch is non-hazardous and environmentally safe. However, this may change if it is exposed to hazardous or toxic substances. Used MoistureSorb® should be disposed according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
