Can you put the pad in a dryer to reactivate it?
We have not tested rejuvinating the pads in a dryer and could cause the carbon particles could come off when tumbling. We would recommend rejuvenating in direct sunlight for the best results. You can do it indoors in the winter and that will also help.

Can these reusable charcoal filter pads help remove odors from the backing of a wood area rug?

Thank you so much for your suggestion on how to remove odor from photos. That worked great. I have another question. I have quite a few antique bureau drawers and china cabinets. When I open them a horrific smell comes out. What will help? Some of the drawers contain sterling silver, others linen and porcelain. I have tried leaving the doors and drawers open but the smell comes back. i have also tried dryer sheets to no avail.
