Can these filters be put over a floor drain? Can they get wet?
You would not want these carbon filters to get wet. If your are experiencing odor from you drain, we would recommend using Odoreze - Drain Smell Eliminator in the drain and hanging this product in the room to eliminate the odors Smelleze® Reusable Home Smell Deodorizer Pouch in the room to remove the odors.

How often do you need to reactivate the filters if dealing with smoke in apartments.
When the filter loses its effectiveness is when you will want to reativate. The time it takes to lose effectiveness will be dependent on the strength of the odor.

Can I put reusable activated carbon vent filters directly in furnace ducts?
Bob,You could do this. Only thing to make sure of is to anchor them to something like duct tape to make sure they don't get blown away by the air when your air goes on. Alternatively, you can use SMELLEZE Reusable Home Smell Removal Deodorizer Pouches to place inside the ducts. These bags weigh close to a pound so they will stay put!
