Smelleze Solved Our Furniture Chemical Odor Problem, Reviewer: Nathan D. (Des Moines)
We bought a new bedroom set and found that it was emitting chemical odors that were making us sick. We could not sleep in our own bedroom! Apparently, furniture manufacturers use various types of chemicals to bind the particle board and veneer together since most new furniture is not 100% wood anymore. Since we could not return the furniture and it was releasing toxins, we had to find a solution quickly! One of the associations we spoke to suggested Smelleze® Reusable Chemical Smell Removal Deodorizer Pouches and we ordered them immediately. We placed the pouches in the bedroom, draws, cabinets and near the furniture. We started noticing a difference after a week and got rid of the problem completely after going through a few rejuvenation/reuse cycles with the pouches. We are completely satisfied with this product and are now able to use our new furniture. Without Smelleze®, we would have had to get rid of the bedroom furniture and loose thousands of dollars.
I Got Rid of the Rotten Egg Stench! , Reviewer: Chris Brown (Dallas)
Last year, we had a problem with an old water heater which made our place smell like rotten eggs. Apparently, this was from hydrogen sulfide given off by bacteria. We replaced the anode rod and even cleaned the tank thoroughly with a disinfectant as advised by the plumber. But despite all our efforts, we still had a lingering sulfur stench that stayed in the room. It was nauseating and I had to get rid of it. Luckily I came across an online advertisement by Smelleze®. They claimed to eradicate various chemical smells completely. Since I didn’t want to live with the horrible rotten egg stench in my house, I decided to give this product a try! The Smelleze® Reusable Chemical Odor Remover proved miraculous and completely neutralized the rotten egg odor. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends.
My House Doesn’t Smell Like a Pesticide Factory Anymore!, Reviewer: Stewart J (Seattle)
I’m so thankful to Smelleze®. The reusable chemical smell elimination pouches worked miracles in my home. It has helped me get rid of the stubborn chemical smell from using strong pesticides. It was so difficult for me to eliminate the chemical odor before and I was really concerned about our family’s safety. I tried using lemon, coffee grounds, and even fabric softeners. But nothing worked. Your products are simply fantastic. When it comes to serious chemical fumes, I would definitely recommend using your professional Smelleze® odor eliminator instead of messing around with home remedies that simply don’t work.

Various gases like acetic acid, formaldehyde, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, VOC's, etc. could be generated from industrial and commercial operations resulting in severe odor problems. It could also lead to serious indoor air quality, health and safety issues since most ventilation systems only recirculate room air and remove large particulate matter such as dirt, dust, and lint but not noxious gases. This could result in complaints from customers as well as employees and OSHA fines.
According to the EPA, "indoor pollution can be as much as 100 times greater than outdoors." Since most people spend close to 90% of their time indoors, indoor air pollution poses a serious health risk. Medical problems that have been associated with poor indoor air quality include dizziness, headaches, eye nose or throat irritation, dry or itchy skin, nausea, shortness of breath, difficulty in concentrating, fatigue, sensitivity to odors, allergies, depression and chronic illnesses.

Noxious Odor Problems
Various odoriferous gases like acetic acid, formaldehyde, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, VOC's, etc. could be generated during normal industrial and commercial operations. Unfortunately, most ventilation systems only recirculate room air and remove large particulate matter such as dirt, dust, and lint. Noxious odors are left free to recirculate in the air you breathe. Over time, they could increase in concentration and result in serious indoor air pollution problems e.g. sick building syndrome. This could lead to complaints from customers as well as employees and OSHA fines.
According to the EPA, "indoor pollution can be as much as 100 times greater than outdoors." Since most people spend close to 90% of their time indoors, indoor air pollution poses a serious health risk. The Smelleze® Industrial Deodorizer Pouch was specially developed to adsorb, neutralize, and encapsulate many unpleasant industrial odors on contact. It will eliminate odoriferous gases like acetic acid, formaldehyde, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, freon, hydrogen sulfide, VOC's, and many, many more. Smelleze® will truly cleanse the air of noxious odors and complement existing ventilation systems. This will be appreciated by customers, employees, and improve your image.
It's No Cover-Up
The Smelleze® Industrial Deodorizer Pouch is a natural deodorizer that can be used to eliminate noxious and unpleasant industrial odors instead of merely masking them with fragrances. Smelleze® is negatively charged whereas odoriferous gases ride on positively charged particles. As a result, Smelleze® draws in industrial odors like a strong magnet. Thereafter, it traps, neutralizes, and encapsulates the odors without smelly cover-ups. The molecular structure of Smelleze® is made up of a lattice structure arranged to form a honeycomb framework of billions of interconnecting channels. This gives Smelleze® an enormous surface area that is larger than several football fields. The latter enables Smelleze® to adsorb phenomenal amounts of industrial odors and work for months.
The Smelleze® Industrial Deodorizer Pouch is non-toxic, safe, non-hazardous, natural, non-scented, non-flammable and non-caustic. It is an ideal environmentally friendly solution for eliminating industrial odors without adding pollutants to the air employees breathe and improving indoor air quality. Smelleze® does not contain chemical additives and is especially beneficial for those suffering from chemical sensitivity.
Smelleze® can be effectively used by all types of industrial and commercial facilities to eliminate odors. Typical applications include: Animal hospitals, auto body/repair shops, box cars, chemical plants, chemical storage plants, chemical storage areas, computer companies, dry cleaners, flammable storage cabinets, food processing areas, fire restoration, funeral homes, gyms, health clubs, hotels, kennels, laboratories, locker rooms, manufacturing facilities, motels, nursing homes, offices, safety cabinets, salons, schools, sealed containers, shipping companies, transportation vehicles, veterinarians, waste containers, water treatment, and any other area with odor problems.
For a breath of fresh air, simply remove the plastic cover, place Smelleze® pouches in the area to treated, and smell the difference. Use one or more pouches for every 300 square feet. This product will function most efficiently in an enclosed area with good air circulation. To obtain the best results, remove the odor sources (e.g. spills and open containers) and clean the affected area prior to treating with Smelleze® . For extra effectiveness, use this product in conjunction with Smelleze® General Purpose Deodorizer Granules and Powder.

LYNN: My husband and I are looking at a commercial unit, and the other unit attached to that one is a flower shop and she likes to burn oils, which is very pungent. We love the unit but I am very sensitive to perfume. Do you think any of your products would work in this case?
ANSWER: You are essentially dealing with an indoor air quality problem since a fragrance or perfume is simply a type of chemical that people may perceive to have pleasant aroma but can still be harmful to people with chemical sensitivity such as yourself. One way to combat these pollutants is to use SMELLEZE Reusable Industrial Chemical Odor Control Pouches to capture the perfumes given off from the burning of the essential oils. They could be simply placed around the commercial unit or in the air ducts to filter the air continuously as it recirculates. They will help eliminate the perfumes, but to be absolutely certain, I would ask the landlord if you could test these products and make sure you are satisfied with the results
HELEN: I recently purchased a used bedroom set made in China. I am chemically sensitive and there is an odor in this wood that I cannot get rid of. It wakes me up during the night, and I can smell it in the room. I have tried spraying the furniture but that doesn't work. What do you suggest?
ANSWER: We often run into this problem with furniture made in China. It’s caused by the chemicals used in manufacturing particle board or pressed wood to make furniture. If it’s not completely cured, the chemicals used will continue to outgas until the process is completed and this could take months. This is what you are smelling and what is causing the issues. The best cause of action is to trap and eliminate these chemicals and hence the odors with an absorbent product like SMELLEZE Reusable Industrial Chemical Odor Neutralizer Pouches. Place these around your bedroom and in the dresser draws to continuously cleanse the air of toxic chemicals and odors that are being released by the furniture made in China. Since these products are reusable for years, you can keep using them until the problem is completely solved to protect yourself.
JANE: Do you have anything that will remove chemical oders from wood?
ANSWER: I would suggest using our Smelleze Eco Industrial Odor Control Granules to rid the chemical smell from wood. Simply sprinkle the granules on the wood to draw out the chemical odor to make it odor-free.
CAREY: I am writing to ask you which of your products would be best suitable for my situation.
I recently bought a new chest of drawers to hold the clothing of my unborn baby. I assembled this item approximately 1 month ago and it still has a very toxic, chemical odour emitting from it - especially when I open the drawers. I have tried to air it out and keep the bedroom windows open, I have tried baking soda in each drawer, and tomorrow I will be adding sliced onions in bowls of water. All of which were recommendations found on the net. Unfortunately, the most effective recommendation was to put the item outside in direct sunlight for a minimum of 8 hours per day. This is not possible as we are approaching the winter months and rain is a daily occurrence recently.
As the baby is due in approximately 6 weeks I really need to be rid of this odour and therefore need your assistance in pointing me toward the best product in your range to eliminate the smells, vapours, and off-gassing of the furniture in question.
I am not sure if the odour is specifically formaldehyde or ammonia or similar so I do not want to purchase a product specific to only one chemical, rather, something that covers all paint and furniture related chemicals. I have not been able to obtain details of what the product is made of or what chemicals were used to cure the finish so it is difficult for me to shop around.
We reside in Sydney, Australia so please advise me at your earliest convenience so that my husband and I have time to order, receive and use the product before baby arrives.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email and thank you in advance for your cooperation and consideration and warm regards.
ANSWER: A vast majority of new furniture is composed of pressed wood these days. This is held together by chemicals such as formaldehyde and then applied with paint and polyurethane when finished. So a whole cocktail of gases can be released if the furniture was not properly cured before shipping. I would suggest using a wide spectrum odour remediation product like Smelleze® Reusable Chemical Smell Deodorizer Pouches to capture as many of these gases as possible. Simply place one in each draw and keep using and reusing until it has absorbed and eliminated all the chemicals and related odours that are out gassed. We ship daily to Australia so its quick and relatively inexpensive.
RAY: Do you have anything which will work on rubber tire smell ?
ANSWER: I would recommend using SMELLEZE Reusable Industrial Odor Control Scrubbers to remove tire smell. They are designed to get rid of various types of chemical odors. We can supply this product in small ready to use pouch formats or 50 pound bags. The latter can be used as filtration media to filter the air in industrial plants.
TASHA: I represent a high level UVC surface disinfection company. Unfortunately, UVC generates a strong odor that we are looking to neutralize. We'd like to have a product we can recommend to our clients.
ANSWER: Based on the UVC disinfecting device technology you are offering, I would recommend utilizing our SMELLEZE Chemical Odor Remediation Pouches to eliminate the smell that is being generated. This is a product that will absorb a broad spectrum of chemicals and the related odors to solve your problem.
GRACE: We have a window manufacturing company on the main floor, we are on the 2nd floor. What odor scrubber is best to treat the chemicals released from the window manufacturing plant? Thanks.
ANSWER: I would recommend using SMELLEZE Reusable Manufacturing Odor Remediation Pouches. They are suitable to remove most manufacturing smells including those generated from making windows. Simply place them in areas with the industrial odor. They may also be placed inside air ducts and air handling systems to filter and cleanse the air of components such as adhesives, stains, and paint used in manufacturing windows.
MICHELLE: I’m working in an area with multiple smell issues: 1 medical (topical creams) and 1 BO. What would you suggest to help eliminate both?
ANSWER: Smelleze® Industrial Odor Air Filter is a broad spectrum chemical oder remover and should eradicate both smells.
MICHAEL: I have a Lexus RX450. I recently boiled the battery with over charging. Now there is an awful smell. Is it toxic and how can I get rid of the car battery odor?
ANSWER: I would place SMELLEZE Reusable Chemical Smell Blocker Pouches in your Lexus to absorb and eliminate the chemical smell which is coming from the sulfuric acid spill from your auto battery. This product will eliminate many toxic chemical fumes including those from acids. In addition, you can also apply SMELLEZE Industrial Chemical Odor Neutralizing Powder on your carpeting to draw out any odor which is stuck there before it’s released.
FRANK: We have a lot of shale on our property. In our basement we have a foul odor of sulfur coming from our sump pump well. It is originating from the shale gas. We want it gone! What product should we use?
ANSWER: We can help you tackle the sulfur stench. Simply place SMELLEZE Reusable Chemical Smell Removing Pouches near your sump pump and around your basement to stop it reeking. Use 1 pouch/300 sq. ft. This product is designed to filter our chemical fumes such as sulfur and will make a huge difference.
HOLLY: Hi, I'm interested in Smelleze. I'm trying to deal with noxious odors inside a chemical cabinet used to store bromine, sodium hypochlorite (bleach), and hydrogen peroxide and these materials are all reactive with organics, reducers, combustibles, and acids. Can you tell me if your item contains any of these things, and also let me know if you think it may be a viable solution to our odor problem. Thanks!
ANSWER: I would recommend using SMELLEZE Reusable Chemical Odor Deodorizer Pouches. It is routinely used in chemical storage cabinets. This is an inert product that will not react with the chemicals you mentioned. It works by absorbing and eliminating chemical smell and does not emit any chemicals either.
JANE: I disposed of epsom salts by dissolving in a large quantity of water and rinsed them down my bathtub drain. I then did the same thing with some CLR (calcium, lime, rust remover). A few hours later, I noticed a strange smell coming from the drain. I have rinsed the drain with hot water, tried drain cleaner, tried an enzyme cleaner, tried baking soda and vinegar but the odor persists. The drain is not clogged, water runs out of the tub just fine. Do you have any advice for how to get rid of this odor?
ANSWER: It sounds like you had chemical reaction with products you used and the by products are causing the lingering odor. I would suggest placing a SMELLEZE Reusable Deodorizer Pouch near the drain to absorb and eliminate the chemicals and stench. In addition, you can also place it directly on the drain when not in use like overnight.
