5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Smelleze Eliminated Moth ball Odor from Old Books & Dolls, Reviewer: Terry E. (Topeka)

We recently acquired a large number of books, dolls and others items that had been stored near a large amount of naphthalene, the chemical used in mothballs. I bought some Smelleze® Reusable Mothball Smell Removal Deodorizer Pouches and suspended the bags in a plastic box with a few of the items for a week. A good amount of the smell was gone. We rejuvenated the pouches and repeated the treatment a few times and successfully eliminated all naphthalene chemical and associated mothball odors. This is the only product we have found that can do this job and are 100% satisfied with this product and would recommend it.

I just wanted to let you know how amazing one of your products worked for us. The mothball smell in out house was so bad we thought about temporarily moving out. We were desperate. Then I found your product online, and like magic, after hanging the mothball smell removal pouches around the house, the smell is gone! I would never have hoped to have such great results. Today I am back on your site to pick up a product for our motorhome. Finding your web site and products was definitely a big plus for us, and we will be repeat customers as long as smells are around. Many Thanks!

I bought a designer handbag at a goodwill store for my daughter. When I gave it to her we both noticed a strong smell of mothballs. Nothing we tried got rid of the odor. I found and bought smelleze on the internet. When it arrived, I put the pouch in a plastic trash bag with the handbag. Within a few days, we took the purse out, the smell was completely gone! Happy to say it never returned! I have even used it in our basement that had a funky, musty smell...gone! This stuff really works!

I listened to so many people and put mothballs in my garage and around my house to keep snakes away. I didn't realize that by putting them so close to the house the ordor would come in. I started searching for a produce and found Smelleze and read all the testimonies that it worked to get rid of the mothball smell. I received my pouches two weeks ago and put them in the return duct. I checked my filter today and it was black from what I guess are the toxins that have been in my home. I have ordered the granules to put around my home and garage hoping that the rest of the smell will be gone. I will never use mothballs again. I had no idea what the toxins can do to the air. I would recommend this product to anyone that has used mothballs.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Finally Eliminated Mothball Smell for Good!, Reviewer: Alex

I can totally recommend this company. I recently purchased a gorgeous black Marcie and the mothball fumes almost made me faint when I opened the box and took her out of the dustbag. To remove the stench, I first closed her and the dustbag up in a box with LMB candies, nada, just a sickly odor of the two. Then I tried baking soda, again zip. Thereafter, I tried charcoal briquettes. This was messy and made no difference. I was beginning to give up hope. I decided to give it one more shot and searched for a professional strength deodorizer made specially to get mothball smell out now that none of the home remedies worked. Luckily, I found Smelleze Mothball Smell Removal Pouches and ordered immediately from IMTEK Environmental Corp, Alpharetta, GA. To my surprise I live just a few miles from the company, however, they do not have a brick & mortar so can only order online or by phone. Smelleze arrived quickly in 2 short days and I put it inside the box and closed it up. In the first day and night there was significant improvement already but I still needed more. I opened the box and turned on an overhead ceiling fan with the pouch inside. This worked miracles. I then turned the bag inside out so the interior would also be mothball odor-free and this worked like a charm. The good news is that both the dustbag & Marcie are now totally odorless after using Smelleze Mothball Odor Eliminator for just a week. I wanted to share my detailed story because I was so was very happy with my results and wanted to recommend this deodorizer to anybody with a severe mothball smell. The bad news is I washed the dustbag and stupidly didn't check to see if anything was inside and the round tag was so now it's a bit ragged!

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 I Recommend SMELLEZE for Fighting Mothball Smell from Attic, Reviewer: Dilon (GA)

I placed couple boxes of mothballs in my attic to keep away squirrels. Big mistake! Unfortunately, the mothball fumes entered my whole house and the smell was intolerable. After searching on the internet for a solution, I found SMELLEZE Mothball Deodorizer Pouches and decided to give it a shot because nothing else worked. The mothball deodorizers were delivered promptly and I placed a pouch on every return air vent to filter out the mothball odors as well as in each room. I started noticing a difference within 24 hours and the mothball smell kept getting less each day as they were absorbed by SMELLEZE. Now I can hardly smell anything. I'm extremely happy with SMELLEZE and would highly recommend it to anyone fighting odors.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 SMELLEZE Mothball Deodorizer Pouches Really Do Work!, Reviewer: Angel from Virginia (Virginia)

My Testimony: God said in his word that Trails and Tribulations will come to test us to make us stronger in having faith to trust and believe in his goodness and mercy. When this happened to me I wanted to know why, but God was with me the entire time through it all and so was a compassionate man named P.G. at IMTEK. First, I had carpenter ants in my bathroom window. I called a exterminating company to come out to get rid of them and they did. But they also informed me that I had termites in my crawl space. The day that the pest control man came to my home to treat the termites he saw an 8 foot black snake in my crawl space, and he ran out of my crawl space in fear, as I heard him yelling, Oh my God....I am not doing this. The pest control man told me that he would go to Lowes to buy a couple boxes of moth balls, and throw them through out the crawl space and that this would chase this snake out of the crawl space, so I agreed. Well let me tell you, it did chase the snake away and ME TOO!

August is a very hot month in Virginia and 2 boxes of moth balls were way to many moths balls in a small area like an enclosed crawl space. I did my home work on the Internet and moth balls are a crystallized liquid gas called Naphthalene which is very toxic to human health. Naphthalene consist of carcinogens. I learned that the inhaling Naphthalene vapors and exposure from moth balls could cause Cancer. I did not desire to sleep in my home for 7 days. One evening when I came home from work, the vapors from the moth ball odor was so strong in the air as soon as I had opened the front door to my house, I had to grab a few things that I needed and left. I was literally forced to leave my home because of the toxic moth ball fumes. Because I had the knowledge of what I was dealing with, I had the pest control man come back out to my house to remove ALL the moth balls from the crawl space.

After all the moth balls were removed the smell still remained in the ground because of the liquid gas residue. I wanted to find out what I could do to get rid of the odor as quickly as possible. So I began my search for answers on the Internet again, and read the testimonies of other people from purchasing Smelleze® Mothball Deodorizer Pouches from a safe environmental company called Imtek. When I called to speak with someone at IMTEK, a compassionate man name P.G. was there to help answer all my questions with patience and kindness. SMELLEZE® MOTHBALL DEODORIZER POUCHES REALLY DO WORK!! Smelleze® along with patience and a lot of fresh air for ventilation eliminated the harmful mothball odor. I kept all windows in every room OPEN! I kept my crawl space door open too, with a small fan blowing continuously to draw the moth ball odor out. I did this for a month, is what it took for the moth ball smell to be completely gone. Once you gain control of getting your home back in order, you must CLEAN! Wash Everything! Wipe down kitchen cabinets inside and out with bleach and water. Re-wash your clothes, wipe out your shoes with 91% rubbing alcohol. Remain calm, don't lose control, because this too will pass and Smelleze® Mothball Deodorizer Pouches will help.

God Bless every one that experiences the chaos from the mis-use of moth balls. But you are not alone and you can get help from the knowledgeable odor and indoor air pollution experts at IMTEK. I would definitely recommend using SMELLEZE® Mothball Deodorizer Pouches to eliminate the toxic fumes from mothballs so your home can be safe again. Don’t expose yourself to the toxic cancer causing naphthalene fumes from moth balls!

    Mothball Odor Remover

Mothballs are used to kill moths when storing clothing and other items in air tight storage containers. Mothballs are not intended for use outdoors, in crawl spaces, in attics, on floors or carpets, with mattresses or furniture to keep unwanted animals, rodents, pests, and snakes away. Improper use of mothballs, like any other product, can result in problems.

The Smelleze® Mothball Deodorizer Pouch can be used effectively to eliminate mothball fumes resulting from improper use and for products that don't dissipate naturally and quickly. Smelleze® will remove mothball odors faster without masking them with fragrances, complement existing ventilation systems, and create a safer environment.

For a breath of fresh air, simply hang one or more reusable Smelleze® pouches near the odor and place on or inside return air ducts and smell the difference. Use one pouch per drawer or for every 150 sq. ft. To rejuvenate periodically, simply place outdoors in direct sunlight for a day and reuse. Replace when rejuvenation does not help. Smelleze® can work for years so it is very cost effective.

Smelleze® is non-toxic, safe, reusable recyclable, natural, odorless, non-flammable and non-caustic. Smelleze® is an ideal environmentally friendly solution for eliminating mothball odors without adding pollutants to the air you breathe. It does not contain VOCs, harmful or ozone depleting chemicals and is especially beneficial for those suffering from allergies and chemical sensitivity. Mothball Odor Problems

    The Mothball Odor Solution

The Smelleze® Mothball Deodorizer Pouch can be used effectively to eliminate mothball fumes resulting from improper use and for products that don't dissipate naturally and quickly. Smelleze® will remove mothball odors faster without masking them with fragrances, complement existing ventilation systems, and create a safer environment.

    It's No Cover-up

The Smelleze® Mothball Deodorizer Pouch is a natural deodorizer that can be used to eliminate unpleasant mothball smells instead of merely masking them with fragrances. Smelleze® is negatively charged whereas mothball odors ride on positively charged particles. As a result, Smelleze® draws in mothball odors like a strong magnet. Thereafter, it traps, neutralizes, and encapsulates the odors without smelly cover-ups. The molecular structure of Smelleze® is made up of a lattice structure arranged to form a honeycomb framework of billions of interconnecting channels. This gives Smelleze® an enormous surface area that is larger than several football fields. The latter enables Smelleze® to absorb large amounts of mothball smell and work for months.

    Environmentally Friendly

The Smelleze® Mothball Deodorizer Pouch is non-toxic, safe, non-hazardous, natural, non-scented and non-caustic. It is an ideal environmentally friendly solution for eliminating mothball odors without adding pollutants to the air you breathe and improving indoor air quality. Smelleze® does not contain chemical additives and is especially beneficial for those suffering from chemical sensitivity.

    Applications

Smelleze® can be effectively used to treat any area of the home with mothball odor resulting from improper use and for products that don't dissipate naturally and quickly.

    Directions

For a breath of fresh air, simply remove the plastic cover, place Smelleze® pouches in the area to treated, on return air ducts or inside air ducts, and smell the difference. Use one or more pouches in a drawer, trunk or every 150 square feet. This deodorizer product will function most efficiently in air ducts with good air circulation. To obtain the best results, remove the mothballs, ventilate the area, and clean prior to treating with Smelleze®. For extra effectiveness, this product may be used in conjunction with Smelleze® General Purpose Deodorizer Granules.

JENNIFER: We have a box of mothballs buried in our attic insulation that we cannot get out. HELP!!!I was thinking of getting the smelleze granulers and sprinkling them into the insulation. Do you think this is the best approach or should I hang the smelleze pouches in the attic? How many pouches or what weight in pounds for the granules would be needed for a 1600 square feet house? Thanks.

ANSWER: I would recommend using the pouches rather than the granules in the attic mainly because the granules might be hard to clean up. The pouches can simply be hung or placed in the attic to absorb and eliminate the mothball fumes and easily removed when the job is done. So there is no mess or fuss. Another advantage is they can be rejuvenated and reused over and over again until the problem is solved.

STEWART: My wife purchased a Louis Vuitton purse which was stored with moth balls to protect it but it reeks bad. Would you recommend the moth ball remover granular or powder version to remove the smell? Thank you.

ANSWER: In fact, I would recommend considering the Smelleze® Reusable Moth Ball Odor Deodorizer Pouch for ease of use in your application. This is a self-contained product that you can simply insert directly into the purse for a week or so to draw out the mothball odors from the interior. Furthermore, you can also place the pouch with the Louis Vuitton purse in a small plastic bag or container for a few days to get the moth ball smell out from the exterior. Since this is reusable product, you can refresh it by exposure to direct sunlight for day and repeat the previously mentioned procedure until your wife’s Louis Vuitton is odor-free again.

Simply store 3-5 mothball contaminated items with a pouch in a plastic bag or container for about a week to allow it draw the moth ball odours out. If necessary, repeat until they stop smelling. The product will not harm the items.

DARRAY: How to get rid of dreadful mothball smell in the house and on clothes

AMSWER: You can use the following procedure for getting rid of the dreadful odors from moth balls:

    1. You can wash the smelling clothes with ODOREZE Natural Clothing Odor Cleaner. Just add to your regular detergent. For smellier items, you can also presoak the clothes in ODOREZE overnight and then wash.

2.Place a SMELLEZE Reusable Mothball Smell Blocker Bag in each room with the fumes. You can also place on return air ducts if you have a HVAC system available to filter out the whole house air.

DOUG: I took the advice of neighbors to put moth balls in my crawl space to keep mice from getting into my duct work. We now know, after almost killing my wife, that moth balls are toxic and are not meant to be used in that way. I removed the moth balls and aired out the house 2 or 3 days in a row. I have a 1,500 sq. ft. house and it still reeks of moth balls. I found your product - the reusable pouch and need to know how many I need. Am I able to keep reusing the same ones until the smell is gone?

ANSWER: I’m sorry to hear about your problem. I would recommend using 1 SMELLEZE Reusable Mothball Deodorizer Pouch for every 150 square feet or average sized room. This product can be reused for over a year with weekly rejuvenation in sunlight or microwave so it should outlast your problem. In addition to using the pouch indoors, consider sprinkling SMELLEZE Eco Mothball Deodorizer Granules in the crawl space area that you distributed the moth balls. This will stop any further vapors entering your home thus solving the problem quicker.

CARIN: How do I get the bad smell of mothballs out of my little portable refrigerator naturally?

ANSWER: I would recommend placing a SMELLEZE Reusable Mothball Fumes Deodorizer Pouch in your fridge for about a week to let it remove the odors. If they are not all destroyed, repeat this procedure. The product is reusable for years so it will outlast the problem.

    Received: 02/17/2014

JENNY: How much product do I need to order? My house smells like mothballs. It is coming from the attic. We have collected all of the moth balls that we can but it still stinks. Thanks

ANSWER: The mothball chemicals that were absorbed in your home will continue to degas although you have removed the moth balls. To stop this odor, I would recommend using 1 pouch/150 sq. ft. You can simply hang them in the attic and just place them on shelves or tables in your home. If you have a heating system that recirculates air, you can also place the pouches on the cold air return ducts so that the air can be continuously filtered as it recirculates.
